BRIDGING THE GAP!
Guyana America Partners seeks to provide women and children in rural Guyana with opportunities to become productive, self-sufficient, and empowered citizens.
We seek to assist these areas in the development of the individual.
Our Current Project
We are presently trying to supply school equipment to 3,000 students across six schools in rural Guyana. Donors can assist our efforts in two ways.
For the price of a large pizza, a round of drinks, or two taxi rides, you can fully equip and prepare an at-need student in rural Guyana for many years worth of learning. Just 19 USD provides everything they will need to help meet their scholarly potential — this includes the backpack, all the instruments illustrated (plus more), and the shipping fees too!
The EPA states that of the roughly 2.25 million tons of used and unwanted electronics each year, roughly 82% winds up in landfills. Do you have a working laptop (made within the last five years) that could be put to better use instead of adding to this growing heap? Please consider donating it to at-need teachers in rural Guyana to equip them to equip our next generation. With your donation completely tax-deductible, it’s a true win-win situation for both parties.
USD raised for projects
Guyana America Partners directs 87% of generated funds* to aid women and children reach their fullest potential. Because our organization is managed and run by individuals with close familial ties to Guyana, retirees, and those devoting their spare-time supporting the public good, our running costs are decidedly low. This means that every penny we receive is spent wisely and judiciously with no bloated bureaucracy between donor and donee.
*Based on expenses reports averages from 2007 to 2017.
